Dr. Dimple Bhatia
For more than twenty-five years, Dr. Dimple Bhatia, has enjoyed practicing family dentistry, building a strong reputation for trust and compassion and helping to build the general health and self-image of her patients by focusing on their long term dental care. Dr. Dimple, as she is called by her patients of all ages, is well known for her infectious laugh and vivacious personality. Recognizing that dentistry may not always be 'fun', Dr. Bhatia is adept at making it as positive an experience as possible.
A life long student, Dr. Bhatia graduated with Distinction from the School of Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario in 1999, and with Honours from the University of Toronto in 1995. After graduation, Dr. Bhatia spent a year in the Dental Intern program at Sunnybrook and Women's College Health Sciences Centre in Toronto, working with a wide variety of chronic and emergency patients. She has continued to pursue her love of knowledge, and of her craft, by regularly attending seminars and classes on new techniques and dental materials.
Dr. Bhatia has been involved in many facets of organized dentistry with the York Region Dental Society where she served as President in 2012-2013, continues to volunteer as the Society’s Special Events Co-Coordinator, and created (and still runs!) their Annual Family Skating Day. Within the Ontario Dental Association, she has served on the General Council and is currently Chair and Vice-Chair of multiple Committees.
Dr. Bhatia has been recognized with a Fellowship in the International College of Dentists in 2019, Fellowship in the Pierre Fauchard Academy and an ODA Award of Merit in 2020 and most recently, Fellowship in the American College of Dentists in 2022.
Dr. Bhatia relaxes with yoga, hiking the trails of Ontario, and therapy training her seven year old labrador retriever. She is an avid traveller whose dream one day is to travel to all 10 provinces & 3 territories in Canada and all 7 continents.
